This was to be the 'cover' image for the March issue of Desktop Engineering Magazine. I now know that there are no covers for Desktop Engineering magazine. I cannot take credit for the 3D elements of this image, as it was sourced from Autodesk internal material. I created the render though (the driver's side of the front end)

The article, which we were informed would be Autodesk exclusive on conceptual design, was a combination of efforts from software types and designers from all over. I did get one image up there though, but being so large, it looked like garbage in reduced format. Oh well, maybe next time.

So to give these images a second shot, here they are:Another image depicting teh use of Showcase. Again, credit for the model of the go-cart does not belong to me. But I took care of the rendering in Showcase and dropped it into a Sketchbook Pro sketch.
This piece was completed for the AliasDesign site as a banner, but it was submitted as a filler.
Not too proud of these guys, but at least they weren't published! A re-working of a sketch I did, apparently before I could draw, of the collaboration between designer and engineer. Mis-shaped heads.
Finally, is another image that was done for other reasons. This made an appearance during the mainstage keynote at Autodesk University in Las Vegas last November.

Here are the links to the article. In 2 parts,
